My life has completely changed. It&#8217;s so strange going from days to live to this! A new lease on life. <br \/>I left Idaho and all I knew for California, where I was born and raised, I was prepared for hospice and death. UCLA decided I was worth saving. What an incredible outcome! <br \/>I haven&#8217;t seen my husband in three years. I haven&#8217;t been able to travel and visiting me hasn&#8217;t been worth his effort. A sting to be sure. <br \/>I lost my joy when my son was killed. My identity was loving him. He was my world. I lost my father, my hero, to cancer two weeks later. <br \/>My sister is the reason I am still alive today. My champion, my best friend. <br \/>Almost dying gives a person a new outlook on life. Everything is clearer, brighter, sweeter.
